Getting started
How long does an ERPNext implementation take?+
For mid-market businesses with standard processes, 8–12 weeks is realistic. Multi-entity, manufacturing, or heavy customization push that to 16–20 weeks. We commit to a date in week 1 and hold to it.
What does an implementation cost?+
Fixed-fee. Mid-market UAE rollouts (Accounting + Inventory + Sales + Purchase + 1–2 specialized modules) typically sit in the AED 80–180k range, all in. Smaller SME bundles start AED 60k.
Do you do free demos?+
Yes. A 30-minute walkthrough with a senior consultant — no slides, no pressure. Book on /demo.
Pricing & licensing
Why is ERPNext cheaper than SAP / Oracle / NetSuite?+
Two reasons. First: no per-user licensing — that's where 60–80% of legacy ERP cost lives. Second: open-source means no vendor lock-in or upgrade tax. You pay your partner, not a license.
Are there hidden costs?+
No. Everything's in the SOW: implementation, customization, hosting, training, support. We don't do change-orders during the fixed phase.
Do I pay per user?+
No. ERPNext is open-source and free of per-user license fees. You pay for hosting, implementation, and optionally support — not for headcount.
Functionality
Will ERPNext work for my industry?+
Probably. We've delivered to 15+ industries across the GCC — trading, manufacturing, construction, retail, healthcare, education, food, oil & gas. The 30-min demo will tell you in 30 minutes.
Can it handle UAE VAT and Saudi ZATCA?+
Yes — both are pre-configured in our deployments. UAE FTA-compliant invoicing and Saudi ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing are standard.
How does ERPNext handle multi-currency?+
Native multi-currency at the company, customer, supplier, transaction, and ledger level. Exchange rates can be auto-fetched daily.
Can I customize ERPNext?+
Yes — extensively, via the Frappe framework. Custom DocTypes, workflows, scripts, integrations all live in your own custom app and survive ERPNext upgrades.
Migration & data
Will you migrate our data from Tally / Quickbooks / Sage / Odoo?+
Yes. Master data (customers, suppliers, items, COA) and opening balances move cleanly. Historical transaction data we typically import as period-end balances rather than full re-posting.
Will my existing customizations survive a re-platform?+
No — but they don't need to. We re-implement business logic in ERPNext using configuration-first; only what's genuinely custom becomes code.
Hosting & support
Where is ERPNext hosted?+
You choose: Frappe Cloud (managed), AWS / GCP / Azure, or your own bare metal. We can manage the infrastructure for you or hand it over to your IT team.
What's included in support?+
Three tiers — Bronze (business-hours), Silver (extended), Gold (24×7 with SLAs). All include monthly health-checks and quarterly roadmap reviews.
How fast do you respond to issues?+
P1 within 4 hours, P2 within 1 business day, P3 within 3 business days — for Gold-tier customers. SLAs are written into the contract.
Working with Craft
Are you a real company?+
Yes. Craft Interactive Technology LLC, founded 2017, headquartered in Al Garhoud, Dubai. UAE LLC, AED billing, UAE jurisdiction, 50+ team members. The first ERPNext Gold Partner in the UAE & Middle East.
Do you have engineers, or do you outsource?+
Real engineers, in-house. We don't subcontract delivery. Every line of code is written and reviewed by Craft team members.
Can I speak to existing customers?+
Yes — once we're both serious about working together. We'll connect you with relevant references in your industry.
